Trust me, it won't be boring here. Politics with Moraff, where we try to cut
through the nonsense and try to get at a little bit of truth.
Until the first column is printed, I'll just give you a quick preview of what to
expect. First, of course Bush is a lousy president, everyone pretty much
knows that. But why? Because he has completely betrayed the so-called
Republican conservatives. In reality, the Republican Congress we just
threw out would never have allowed a democrat that was as much of a
liberal budget busting big spender to do what Bush did. But then, look back
and you'll notice that there hasn't really been a good Republican
Conservative president. They've all been budget busting big spenders for
decades. Only Bill Clinton was a conservative president. Ironic.
Actually, for more than a generation the Republican rallying cry was to
accuse a candidate of being a liberal. Bush showed what they meant by
Liberal, and why it was a bad thing.
I myself am a proud Liberal, but the fiscal and environmentally conservative
type.
